High Performance
A professional life, tied to high performance
My relationship with sports and performance began very early on. In 1990, I was managing a gym in Torreblanca, and shortly after, I began my involvement with competitive motorcycling as an international delegate for the Royal Spanish Motorcycling Federation (RFME), working with the 80cc and 125cc teams in the European Motocross Championship.
In 1996, I made the leap to the Motocross World Championship, working with the official Honda team alongside Stefan Everts. From that point on, high-demand sports became a constant in my professional career, as I also participated in projects related to MotoGP and various other sporting disciplines.
Since 2012, the Dakar Rally has held a particularly important place in my work. I have participated almost without interruption to this day—first with motorcycles, and later with cars and trucks. Over the years, I have worked with structures and teams linked to Husqvarna, Honda, Iveco, Yamaha, and KTM, and I am currently involved in Ford’s motorsport program.

But my experience in high performance is not limited to motorsport.
For over twelve years, I have worked with Roberto Bautista in professional tennis, and throughout my career, I have collaborated with athletes across numerous disciplines. Every sport presents different demands, but all top-level environments share one thing in common: they require precise observation, individualized approaches, decisive action, and constant adaptation.
After decades working in these environments, my current interest goes a step further. Scientific research is now a part of this journey. One of my research focuses examines the relationship between osteopathy and visual function. The goal is to generate evidence that helps us better understand these connections and, looking ahead, to explore their potential application in optimizing training and sports performance.
For me, high performance has been much more than a professional field. It has been an extraordinary learning laboratory: an environment where clinical experience, observation, and now research all face the same core question—how to help each athlete achieve their peak adaptive response when the demands are at their absolute highest.
Working for so many years within professional sports has allowed me to understand high performance far beyond the clinic walls.
Training, competition, fatigue, recovery, pressure, travel, and the need to perform again when there is virtually zero margin for rest. In these contexts, the work is never solitary. Osteopathy is part of a multidisciplinary environment where doctors, physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, trainers, and other professionals bring different perspectives together with a single goal: helping the athlete reach the competition in the best possible condition.
